COMPENSATION CLAIMS / |
Fraudulent claims for industrial injury such as stress, back injuries and whiplash are some of the more common cases that companies with an employee on extended sickness absence or an insurer find hard to prove fraudulent. Cases involving illness such as back injury are sometimes the easiest to ascertain if fraudulent. In one instance, a claimant off work for eighteen months was found playing football the day after an occupational health visit during which he was barely able to walk; another with a claimed broken ankle was found working for a roofer! |
